Probably TPI (Third Party Intermediary) using hard sell techniques to convince to switch to OPUS or similar energy companies. They will do anything possible to hide the fact that they are energy brokers which is actually against the Trading Standards but Ofgem will soon start to go after them. They will try to convince you to accept a new contract with them. DO NOT Trust them as they will get paid and you may end up with an expensive new contract.

Fraud SCAM Fraud call that stated my card had been used for two large transactions of £300 Amazon and £1100 international payment. Automated message sounds like it is from the bank, but did not state name of bank, or cardholder. Used another phone to call the number back (out of curiosity). Mobile network sates it is an invalid number, and call made from Ireland, with a London code?

Scam call asking about our the card machine we had. When I asked him which one, he hung up. Sounded like it was an overseas call centre, and not Newcastle area.
Ridiculous, very noisy in the background, insisted that he needed to speak to the business owner about our electricity. When i asked if it was a sales call, he said no, it's about a complaint from the national grid!! Very Heavily accented caller on a poor line which I suspect originated overseas. Purporting to be from the number blocking department of my phone line provider offering to stop all the Spam phone calls I had been receiving recently. Asking for banking information. When challenged was unable to provide even basic information to me and hung up.

SCAM / SPAM This must be a scammer as I had to go to voicemail to find out who it was and it is someone claiming to be from HMRC and asking me to press number keys for more information. This would most likely divert me to another number and leave me open to some kind of fraud. Number now blocked. If it really is HMRC they have my address and email address.
