They hang up when you ask them if they can confirm your name or address. Do not deal with these people as they are phishing for your personal information and may rip you off financially.

The caller said they were from BT Openreach, and had information from my router that indicated my internet wasn't performing as well as it should be. I was asked a couple of questions about what devices I had connected to the router, and was then asked if I was in front of my personal device. When they then asked me to log onto my personal device, I decided that this may not be legitimate and hung up. The background noise was very loud, as if from a call centre.

Contacted regarding my amazon account and large order to being placed by I-phone. When asked what the order was for the caller became evasive and just said that it was for £737. Car accident claims again. Said I had been in an accident but when I told her I hadn t she said someone in the household had, but again untrue. I asked her if she knew who she was calling - she ended the call!

I'm registered with TPS so should not be getting these calls plus automated calls are banned under GDPR unless the householder has specifically agreed.
The caller new me by name asked me to answer 2 questions to win 5 pounds. Asked me if i used tv shopping channels.Then asked if I had bought anything in the last 6 months from qvc.Or he may have said bid tv,but thought it was qvc although research leads me to believe the same people regularly say its from bidtv. I think the caller can make money off people trying to call back? although i dont know. It could just be aggressive advertizing.
