SPAM claims to be from Currys PC World about an iphone deal. I asked woman where she was based and she repeated name of "company". She then gave a place name in the midlands, I said that my phone said Bodmin (in Cornwall). She hung up.

My wife answered and a recorded message said it HMRC and that they had a case against us. She tried phoning back, but it was a pre recorded message again. This is utter rubbish....
said it was from TalkTalk and my direct debit had been cancelled. suspected a scam so put the phone down.
Apparently my Amazon Prime account is going to be auto renewed. Odd as its valid until next year. No doubt they d like me to give them my bank account details.

Typical **** auto recorded message about debt consolidation preying on the financially reckless, vulnerable and so on - as if anyone in this world would be stupid enough to sign up to anything with no prior knowledge on a cold call. Claimed to be my local energy advisor, for once they are local to me. Asked if I was the homeowner, when asked where he got the information from, said there was a data base of all work carried out at this address. If there is then I did not authorise my data being entered or used. GDPR? Suspect they wanted to carry out an "energy survey" and would come up with a very expensive improvement package, which probably would not be needed.
