SCAM Call claiming to be from HMRC relating to a fraud case.
stated they were inland revenue, and I had committed a fraudulent act!
Presumably auto-dialler, picked landline phone up, waited, line went dead.
I am on the telephone preference service list. They called saying they had info I had been in an accident and were fishing for more info - I haven t been in an accident, but just answered their questions with telephone preference service .
They have a similar website like the Indian Embassy. If you stop they'll ring back(it was Sunday) trying to help with the application form saying the Indian Embassy. Don't continue with this because it's a dodgy one !!!

If this was not you please visit: http://www.istop-verifiedpayee.com/hsbc/" I am NOT with HSBC & google search found nothing on 'istop-verifiedpayee.com' (not an established website) so HIGHLY LIKELY to be a phishing SCAM - BEWARE!!! I have not visited link so don't know what is on other side... I reported to HSBC at [email protected] also at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report-phishing. Do the same!!
