Have had four calls from this number now. First time I actually answered most of the questions. Asian sounding man wanted to know my first name which I declined to give him and hung up. Not 30 seconds later I got another call from him, so I put the answerphone on. As soon as the answerphone kicked in he hung up and called back straight away. It's the tedious call back scam where naive people (marks) call back thinking that it's a local/national number when, in fact, the return call is redirected to a premium rate number without the mark's knowledge. Caller put phone down when I picked up. Not a number I recognise.
Very bubbly sounding lady called Leslie, on a terrible line, called from this number. Claimed to be from some kind of insurance company, said the information had come from the "Road Traffic Accident Commission" or similar. Apparently I was in an accident that wasn t my fault. After asking her to repeat her company name, and pointing out that I hadn t had an accident, she hung up on me.
