Several missed calls from this Manchester number, with no message left. Many of the calls "after hours" i.e after 7pm. I don t know anyone in the Manchester area, also if it was a genuine call a message would be left. So in my opinion, this must be a scam call, as no message is ever left and many of the calls are before 9am and after 7pm. Annoying to say the least, these companies should be fined and banned.

Think this is a scam. 2 calls this morning on different nos, but the same recorded message and same female voice. My internet will be disconnected in the next 24-48 hours because of illegal activity. Someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. I hung up after a few seconds. Not known whether genuine or not but weren't interested to find out.
Claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Worrying signs, firstly did not have my name as a contact or any reason to indicate I have an Virgin account. Also they are using a local number, for a very small area, which to my knowledge does not have a Virgin office.
I was charged ?18 in June and a further ?30 in July for a series of texts (?6 per texts) on my mobile bill. I ve been getting constant calls from this number which have gone "dead" when I pick up for weeks. Yesterday they finally told me they were from Vodaphone and my number was one of their numbers so they needed it back. They needed to move me to their contract. When I said it had never been a Vodaphone number they then said would anyone else I know be interested!
