I Reported this number to talktalk. , they are scammers. And got abusive when I told them police were involved.

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. I asked her what I could do for her and to cut to the chase as I was busy and got a mouthful of abuse being called and ugly [email protected] and other nice names. PPI claim company, said they got our details from a lifestyle survey but we never participate in these to avoid unwanted calls. Clearly lying, and from the number of people complaining I hope we ll see TPS/ICO take action and fine them.

This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.

very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!
