SCAM. Call received at around 21:30 hours. Caller asked to speak with me by first name. I did not confirm whether I was the person required, but asked who was calling. She did not answer but repeated her question. When I asked again who was calling, the young sounding woman said 'I'm from Virgin.' I then asked what she wanted with the person for whom she had called and she hung up. A bit later I called the number back and the same woman answered with 'hello!' Definitely not from Virgin. Scammer.
SCAM / Spam rang me and asked if I get nuisance phone calls, and he could solve it, I said it's OK I've got ofcom looking into it and I have to send them any numbers, he soon hung up.

Same as 01367114033. Lady calling herself Paige Peters called me from Crawley, England out of the blue at around 5.30pm. Said she was with the Road Traffic Accidents Department and had information that I had been in an accident. When Iasked who she was and which organisation she called from she just repeated the above line. Kept asking for information about the accident until I hung up on her after a few seconds.

Very pushy but convincing girl at the end of the phone - said they were calling because I had entered a competition to win a trip to New York and so was eligible for ten free lines on Euro Millions. Sounded vaguely legitimate until she started asking me for personal details - date of birth, etc... "to confirm I was over 18". Called yesterday (12 Nov) at 18:46 and drivelled on about the PPI you were sold. Obviously a bunch of spivs as I don t do PPI as I don t take out loans or use credit cards. Attempted to make a complaint to the TPS and their website says "noting to do with us try the information commissioner". Who is paying for the TPS and why? They seem to be a waste of space.

SCAM - apparently "David" wanted to help me fix my "broken" internet router. I told "David" that it was handy he'd called as my Husband was a Sky engineer and if he held the line a moment I'd put him on to discuss. "David put the phone down on me..... how rude !!! Clearly a total scam call which apparently originated from Basildon but more like Bombay based on the accent. Be aware.
