SCAM. Automated call supposedly from bank (no bank name given) saying fraudulent transaction on my debit card with £600?? sent overseas. Press 1 if transaction ok, 2 if not. Checked on 1471 and full telephone no. ringing me was 0049170285347. Blocked number, contacted bank, no unauthorised transaction, so a scam.
Repeated calls over a period of a month. Then switched to UNKNOWN number and continued to call. Each caller was direct and rather nasty. When I called them up on the fact they got rather hostile and continued to call.

SCAM - I had a missed call & voicemail from this number. The voicemail was a recorded message in a male American voice asking to call back on the number. They called again, so I answered. He same recorded American Male voice started talking, saying he was someone calling from HMRC to discuss a case with me, and to call him back before "the lawsuit" against me went to "local county court". I blocked this number after reading on a number of sites that they are a market research company. These people will just not go away. They are trying to get your personal info and they are crap at it. Presumably they are better at paper fraud than they are at acting. I don t know how they make any money but they must do because they keep calling back or maybe they are as stuid as they sound. They sound drunk half the time. Usually they say they are fron Benefits UK and they call using lots of numbers so you can t block them for long.
