Six calls so far today, each one claims to be from BT and calling about my internet. When I say that they're not who they are they either hang up or argue that they are from BT. If asked to remove my number they do the same, then I get another call an hour or so later. They do not take no for an answer. Obviously using false names, company name and a number which purports to be in UK.

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Carphone warehouse, seems to be their call center.

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly call centres work for multiple clients - O2, charities... An Indian sounding woman called Lisa. They called about an accident, they couldn't name the person that had the accident, what kind of accident or when. I asked where they got my number from and that was against data protection also. I asked them to remove my number from their list. I have now blocked them with my call blocker pro.

A Man (after a pause) called on this number saying it was Amazon and that someone had ordered a smart phone on my account. I didn't give him chance to say what he wanted me to do about it - he was going to send an email. I put the phone down and checked with Amazon who confirmed no one had telephoned me from there.
I believe this is a cold caller who has somehow, along with two others since blocked, has my mobile number - guessing via software as only family have the number they are ringing. Rings a few times then goes off - ringing the number back produce a constant engaged tone. Another number that'll be getting blocked. This is the third 'cold call' to my mobile in a week that has gone unanswered!
