SCAM - UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Scam phonecall from "DHL" in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. SCAM This automated call purports to be from LLOYDS BANK FRAUD DEPT reporting fraudulent activity on a credit card, they ask you to press any number to be put in touch with their team. IT IS A SCAM The person they named left here over 9 years ago and has updated her contact details with LLOYDS each time she moved. The question I would like answered is if LLOYDS know they have detected fraudulent activity on a card, why don’t they stop it?

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1612497xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims services, insurance marketing, robocalls. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

received call foreign sounding man said he was from BT technical department.we are not actually with BT! told me ip address was compromised and people could see what I do on my computer and wanted me to go on my computer so they stop the person hacking computer. I told him i didn't believe him and was going to tell my son who's a policeman and then he put phone down on me. phone number is from Algeria. the frightening thing is that I could hear loads of other speaking in background just like a call centre.
