I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. An email supposedly from Three phone company asked me to phone this number. On connecting, it cut off immediately. Afterwards, I noticed the email sender address was shown as Unipart, not Three. 08453550308 looks like a scam to catch phone numbers.

Called using my old surname - five years out of date. Told them there was no-one of that name here (the truth) and asked if they were cold calling. Got the reply No I m not, never mind and put the phone down on me.

Had call from "Steven" claiming to be from BT, very similar to one I had last week, told him as such, and that I had checked out the last one with BT and he hung up whilst I was mid-sentence. If in any doubt call BT and they can tell you when you were last contacted by them, although they don t seem to be bothered about doing anything about these nuisance scam calls.
