This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with O2 - offering mobile tarrifs, Gas and Electric bill, but also charity for deaf child fund raising - but in fact just another call centre...

Got a call from this number telling me I had to register my electricity meter. When I asked why, I was told it was because I had recently moved in. Again, I asked why I should need to register my meter and at this point the caller just hung up. Sounds very much like a scam of some sort.
This number should be a landline from London - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. Not unsolicited as I had already signed up to the. The lies and ignorance of what is happening need to be countered. People worry about the risks of leaving if they stopped and thought they would realise the risks of remaining are even greater. Too may of the younger generation believe everything they are told and don't think for themselves.
