This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. He was trying to sell an identity/credit rating protection (Platinum protect plus I believe). He was polite, when I said I wasn t interested he was pleasant. I get multiple calls from these per day for the past several months. I usually don t pick up but today I did. They got my name wrong so I told them they had the wrong person. When I asked who was calling they didn t respond and insisted on asking me a few questions. I refused so they hung up before I could tell them to take my number off their data base.

The number if you call it is a boat repair shop in Dorset. Unfortunately the number is being spoofed by an online trading company that I couldn't make out because of the callers heavy Russian accent. I called the boat repair company to inform them of the cituation.

This number (01515153870) Easirent gave me to find out where is the money they owe me for months. Obviously no one picks up the phone.
Phoned early today. I could barely understand what he was saying, but I gathered he was wanting information about my address. I hung up after saying I refused to give my details to a cold caller. The same number rang back after about two hours, but this time I didn't answer.

A few minutes after my last nuisance call, which was from the Talk Talk impersonators, I got this one - from the p.p.i. pests using a number they had not used for me before. Only a couple of days ago their recorded message was saying it was their final attempt to contact me, but telling lies is habitual for them. I estimate I have had a hundred calls from these people. I look forward to the day they are prosecuted. They are making money out of people s naivety so I hope they get fined heavily.

This is apparently a genuine number for FedEx but it's been hi-jacked by a 'BT' scammer using a recorded message saying they've monitored suspicious activity. I cut the call then tried to dial 1471 but the line was still engaged and I had to try a couple more times before it cleared.

SCAM Claimed to be a company called AST or Aftercare Support Team. Pretended to be a white goods insurer and offered reduced rate for reinsuring washing machine as policy was due to expire. We don't have insurance on our washing machine, so this was clearly a lie. They did specifically state our house name though, so have clearly collected some specific data about us before calling.
Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.

SCAM Had these people phone me up on another number pretending to be the national crime agency, using an automated message. When rumbled and blocked they tried again using this number to pretend to be an insurance broker, again using the same tactics with an automated message which made it obvious that it was the same people. Do not trust, just block them.
