A recorded voice indicates an outstanding tax issue. Asking you to press 1 to be connected. Failure to do so will result in a warrant for your arrest (on the grounds of tax fraud) being issued. Her Majesty's Inspector of taxes would not phone if there was an issue. They would write to you. They know your address, but fraudsters and scammers like this do not. Do not press to accept the call. if you do they will know the number is in use an probably sell your number on to more scammers.

SCAM Call center about an accident claim I have not had.
SCAM Pre recorded message claiming to be suspending national insurance number.
Answered this call, not for the first time, and they just hang up. They don't seem to be able to manage their nuisance calls properly let alone sort out an accident or ppi.
Text received "Hey xx", no other information, number unknown to me.

Energy Guard cold call. Told me I had asbestos in my lost. Asked how he knew that, told me it is in his database, I asked what details he had about me and my property in his database and to treat that question as a GDPR request with 28 days to comply before I report this to the Government Information Commissioner. Male with strong foreign accent said was calling from TPS. Obviously untrue. Told him this was a scam, had no right to call us, and to get off the line.
Safe number. I had enquired about a property and they were just following up.
Caller claimed to be from BT. From such a professional organisation, I would expect the caller to identify themselves personally, such as 'hello my name is abc, from BT, etc. So I assumed it to be a scammer either trying to either sell me something or obtain personal information about me. I'd also expect the 'phone number to come up in google search. Told caller to 'bogoff'.
