Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.

Had a call at 5 37 pm to day today I I answered it and it was a jumbled message I put the phone down and then I dialed 1471 how did they get my number I am x directory.
Was sure that it was a Canadian cousin then accepted it wasnt. Asked for £9.00 odd etc etc due to bill , didnt make any sense. Called a business I work at part time endlessly looking for me, they finally picked up and they knew my full name and said they were from GCM UK but wouldn't leave their details. GCMis an energy company and that I've never had anything to do with. Likely a scam.

This number called today saying they were Open Reach and checking my internet. They were very pushy and insisted i opened my computer. I just put phone down.
Said they were from the National crime agency and were suspending my NI number due to criminal activity and I needed to get in touch with them
