SCAM - pretend to be Airbnb wanting a confirmation payment working as part of a group advertising false flats via Facebook marketplace for rent to be booked through Airbnb for a couple of months before going onto a rental agreement with the ‘host’ - once money is paid they say that someone from air bnb will be in touch to hand over keys and sign agreements etc but never hear from them again.

I answered today and said the same thing - so checked what information they had on my address etc, and have the correct address, have asked for the information, and will check it out when I receive it. I asked where they had obtained my information from and he said from an online form I had completed, and as I have recently, this would seem feasible, as the databases are available to purchase in the telemarketing world. Called threetimes in one day, did not recognise number so eventually barred it on my phone. My guess it is a scam or selling call.
SPAM I answered cos I was expecting call from an unnknown number. The lady on the phone had old info about me as they thought I still lived at my dad's. The line cut briefly and I said I couldn't hear them and then they said "I hope you die in a f*ckin car crash" and kept repeating similar insults.
