11/10/2017 - several calls from this number and on pick up phone is put down at other end. 1471 indicates number not recognised. Yet another pain in the derriere from people up to no good.

SCAM / SPAM Automated call, from my "internet provider" who would be disconnecting me within 24 hours due to "illegal activity" taking place over my connection - instructed to "press 1" to connect me to an executive. Connected to a woman speaking English with an Indian accent. Her script wasn't very good, tried to talk about online banking/shopping. I was busy so didn't string her out any longer. They called me a few moments ago and, wwhen I asked where they got my number, they became rude and evasive so I hung up. An Indian sounding woman rang straight back demanding to know why I "Cut the call". We had a row and I hung up again. Believe it or not, she rang straight back again. People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I made payment to these people too, for advertising in an upcoming event brochure of almost ?230, (I stupidly paid twice, as they rang back the next day and said the payment hadn t gone through, I did actually check with my bank, and there was nothing showing as having gone through the day before, but it did appear within a few days].
