Fraud. Phone call telling me I had had £600 taken from my account from abroad. I don't have £600 at this time of the month for someone to withdraw!

They claimed they were HMRC and the police were coming to get me for not paying tax ? 1) They didn't know my name 2) Whether it was HMRC / Tax Office / whoever really, they would send a letter (not an email) to you not phone you ! It's a nasty SCAM meant to panic you, these people should be locked up!

Received text message claiming to be from Royal Mail as I refused to pay £2.99 with link to reschedule delivery. Did click on the link which was very stupid , ( I was expecting the parcel ) but nothing happened and no other details from me were asked . It was just a blank page. Recorded message from the 'Bank Security centre' (apparently one bank security centre for all the banks....) reporting unusual card activity, £300 to Amazon & £1000 internationally, press 1 to cancel, 2 to speak to operative... Silent call
Calls up to 3 times a day every day - then a break of a week and starts again. Automated message for unknown person. Press 2 to confirm I am not the person named - but the message says pass a message on to the person that I do not know. Calls have come early morning and evening. In desperation bought a call blocking phone. They are still trying to get through but at least I am not disturbed by them any more. But an expensive solution.

They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. This company is called trades under various names including UClaim4Me,UManage4me,TheUGroup,Umanage,USave4me. Company registered under Patshull Owen Associates Ltd Wolverhampton. Why pay for one of these companies to claim any PPI back when all you do is write your own letter to your credit card company or bank.You get exactly the same back as if they had claimed on your behalf but they charge you for the privelage!
