Called me up and did not know my name, made several attempts - when asked why he did not know who the name of the person he was calling and asked what he was calling for he hung up. Is this number used by a foreign based nuisance call unit? How did they get my number as I have signed any internet (including local authority) site as not wishing my details to be passed on. Called to review a Life Assurance policy that I have never had at an address I have not been at years. Told caller he was either badly informed or a scam and he became quite abusive.
Asian caller who said it was Adam from Open Reach and there was a problem with my internet and my connection would be lost in 4 hours. He said I needed to turn on a computer or laptop so he could sort the problem out. I told him my laptop needed charging up and he said he would call back in half an hour. He called back but we did not answer and he then tried every 2-3 minutes, ringing approx 15 to 20 times. Finally we answered but said he would have to phone back the following day as we had to go out. Meanw
This number keeps ringing me repeatedly at least twice every day for the past few weeks. When my partner answered, the person on the phone tried to get us to switch energy suppliers. Even after saying no, they still continue to ring! Don t know when to give up. Sometimes when you answer they hang up as well, which is strange.
