very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

I confirm that it s illegal. I believe they call from Asia because it is a financial call centre but they call when here is night! I don t use bad words because I don t want a ban, but they are criminal!

As usual the dirty filthy packies have changed their number again, they basically call you, tell you your pc is fucked which how could they low? Seriously! If you fall for this your deserve it! After you give them access to it, they use it to do various illegal activities including stealing your identity, credit card numbers anything they can salvage and after that it becomes part of a network of pcs used to hack and generally cause havoc. Scam Text claiming to be from Hermes asking for £1.45 for redelivery with internet link. Told them I'll collect it from the depot and asking for location. Not expecting a response.

From another site it's a Cardiff code and a recorded voice suggests it's an hmrc source, but number it says to ring is a 0161 No. Advice is don't ring.
