Almost certainly a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Block the number if you have the facility.
Automated phishing call saying my credit card paid £600 to a foreign country. Instructed to press 1 to allow or stop the payment. Needless to say I did a 1471 before the second call could be made from a unlisted number; people will fall for this one

When I said I had no connection to Carphone Warehouse, she said this was a promotion call about some Samsung mobile. I doubted whether it was from Carphone Warehouse. I don't answer calls that I'm not expecting if I don't know the caller. I work nights and keep my phone on silent during the day. Looked on here for a missed call, saw it was from Three and glad I missed it. Will be blocking them as they never have anything useful to say!
