Called saying it was my bank , I (maybe stupidly) gave them details about recent transactions and the sort code snd account number. As soon as I had done this I got cut off and it’s now permanently engaged so I am now worried it is a scam..

Well dodgy, spoof number, not real - look at the pattern of digits. they re too lazy to move their fingers around the keypad. A regular caller.

Never call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed UK number which will be a very expensive call.

PPI/Bank Charges claim company. Latest one is Endowment Policies. Aside from just hanging up, I find the best course of action with these guys is to just lie to them. Give them made-up details so they waste their time with fruitless nonsense. Tell them you paid PPI on a Swiss bank account with ?10m in funds given to you by a Nigerian prince. Keep calm and tell absurd lies, and this kind of call actually starts to be a lot of fun!

ABSOLUTE C*NTS! Called me regarding work on my website. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The caller mentioned a number of lapses in my website which they could fix as part of their ?400 package, including Google ranking etc. Rather than taking her word for it, I tested these so called lapses on a friend s mobile device which contradicted everything she was saying. PPI call. Have had 8 or 9 missed calls - very persistant and pushy. Had to ask several tumes for them to remove me from their lists.

the caller(female Indian) rang asking what washing machine I used. I put the phone down. The phone range again a while later but I did not answer it, the it rang again. This time an Indian male asked what washing machine I used. I told him I did not take cold calls and put the phone down.
