Received a call, foreign voice said ringing about accident I d had. They managed to get my name, address and accident details and sent me an email which they wanted me to open and click on the attachment to provide authority for them to send out documents for me to claim compensation. I told them I didn t need to claim compensation as only very minor whip lash, however they were very insistent saying that didn t matter and I was entitled to £3000 compensation. I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number. They rang yesterday at 6.30pm and today at 10.45am, no message was left. In the unlikely event that the call was from Talk Talk, I have never dealt with that company, so they would have no legitimate reason to ring me.
Told me I had a problem with my windows pc. Kept them on the line for 45 mins. They then asked was I going to be interested or was I taking the piss? Told them I had a Mac and yes I was taking the piss. I then hung up. Hehehe.

Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.
Answered and they immediately hung up.

Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
