We have been called from this number by somebody claiming to be from British Gas, about an outstanding invoice. As out invoices are regularly paid on time, this is a scam to try and get card details for payment.

Caller initially claimed to be calling from the University of Sussex, asking me to undertake an online research survey. Then they wanted our email address, and I enquired why was that necessary if the survey was online - all they needed to do was provide me with the web address. The caller later later confirmed they were an independent market research company , and continued to ask for my email address. Of course, I never provided it.

who is this and where did they get my number from?? i did get someone at the other end earlier today , they mumbled something, called me by a name then the line went dead. I can only assume that whoever was on the other end was a complete arsehole and i would not want to speak to him again anyway. time the authoroties got a grip with these cold callers and put a stop to it. telephone preference registration is a complete waste of time!!!

Boa noite Não sei se estou me direcionando ao local ou ao número certos, porém, tenho recebido através deste número (11) 111251176 ou (11) 125117611, vários telefonemas em dias e horários diferentes, inclusive finais de semana e feriados, tendo a necessidade até de desligar o telefone. I was asked to speak tot he business owner so knew straight away it was a cold call to which I said no thank you and put the phone down. To which the caller rang back and was somewhat aggressive the next time stating that I had put the phone down on him and that he would e-mail my director telling him what I had done then proceeded to hang up on me. Having read the previous comment, there is no surprise why he behaved in this way!

Call incessantly. No one on phone when you pick up.

Asked for a name that was not mine. Then said my number had asked for details of doing the lottery. Told them i hadn't and hung up.

The call had something to do with the lottery! They wanted me to press the 5. Don t do that!!!
