just got a call from this number. the man on the other line - someone name john something - said he was calling from "Allied Interstate" about an unpaid debt. I said that he must be mistaken as I don t have any debt. He said "we will see" and asked for personal information. I hung up. Obviously not trustworthy!

They called my landline at 8.49am (automated at first) pretending to be AMAZON to say I'm about to be charged £39.99 for my AMAZON PRIME subscription which i don't have and have never signed up for, but to cancel it i need to be on my device and they would talk me through it on-line. When i asked if is this was a SCAM she said 'What are you talking about' and put the phone down on me.

Got a call today from some guy asking for me by name (which I didn t acknowledge - I never do.) I immediately asked who was calling to throw him off his spiel, unfortunately he mumbled his "company" which sounded like s&l legal? and immediately launched into his sales patter regarding the mis-selling of PPI. I let him ramble on for a few then interrupted him by saying I worked in the banking industry and could run rings round him with regards this. Called 27-01-2016 at 9.20 am on my mobile. I didn't recognise the number so let it go to answerphone. A message was not left. Searched for the number on the internet. Came ...
"Jack" called from the "Credit Investigation Department"... I asked which company this "Department" worked for, which at first he wouldn t answer. Eventually he said it was a UK Government Agency... When I pressed him further and explained that I signed up to the TPS and he should not be calling me, he told me to "Shut up and listen!". When I laughed at him and told my colleagues around me what he d just said, he hung up (unsurprisingly!)
