SCAM. Woman with strong Asian (sounded Indian) accent purporting to be calling from Microsoft informing me of urgent high risk to my computer etc---. I hung up and on checking discovered the number to belong to A&M Todd, a flooring company in Burnley.

He called me on 26/02/2023 from 17.00 on wards every 20 minutes or so till 20.00 hours i disconnected the. then around 15.00 hours he started calling again silent all the time this went on for 10 calls the i did not pick so blocked my land line by leaving phone off hook. Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. This was a call from a call tariff firm wanting to increase its network it is a cold call and has obtained my number via a sale from other companies I have blocked the number and asked the company to remove me from their call lists immediately this is the second call i have had from a similar number and I asked the last called to remove my number also this did not happen the 1st Time - I will see if it happens again.

The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! These are computer generated calls sniffing out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else, then the line will be logged as 'a VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back later by some con-artist! If your phone rings and you don't recognize the number calling you, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anything & the line goes dead then you've just successfully escaped being scammed!
