Received a missed call from 01277 557 626 - phoned back as number from Brentwood where I live. No ringing, goes straight to a strange robotic voice saying "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line while we transfer you to the next available agent" Then silence, no holding music. Hung up straight away as appears to be a bogus call - no company greeting and I doubt they ever transfer you to anyone. Just racking up your call time to get money.

The person on the other end told me they were ringing to review my mortgage. When I told her I was uncomfortable discussing it over the phone, she got aggressive and rude. She told me my husband had requested a callback which I knew was a lie because he doesn t deal with this stuff over the net or phone!! when I said that he wouldn t have requested a callback she was really abusive and before she could hang up I told her how rude she was!! 0800 161 5204 This is NOT a Barclays number at all! They phoned me and asked for my dob... I said the year only. To which the caller became very irate and asked for further info, I put the phone down and actually phoned Barclays customer service who confirmed this number does not belong to any barclaycard department!
