Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. Received a text message from this number at 22.54!! Offering to turn my car into cash (they ll be lucky, it s only worth about ?50!). Called at 1737hrs 21st July 2015. Pre-recorded message about PPI claiming. When called back - number is not recognised - a digit has been left out. Another for the Call Blocker.

Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL
