I just got a call from this number. The man on the other end of the line had a rather heavy accent, saying that this was in reference to the call I had with his colleague the past week about an unsecured loan. When I asked for the company name or any other sort of identification, he refused to give me any details. (He wouldn t even tell me the name of the person I allegedly had a phone call with.) Just had a call from this number, an asian lady called Kate Brown(???) who said that my IP address was being used by others around the world so they will be cancelling user licence on my IP address. The second option was they will talk me through how to block so I wont be compromised. Told her that I was computer illiterate and could she ring back later and speak to my hubby. I had a call from this company saying that my washing machines warranty had run out, which was a lie. They call everyday and when I hinted for them not to call again, they were very rude and hung up.

A call from Carphone warehouse, using a LOCAL code - ie - 01324 trying to deceive you into thinking it s a local call. You answer, and it s OBVIOUSLY a CALL Centre (by all the noise in the background) and on questioning the guy, is clearly NOT in the Falkirk area. This type of local call is being used more and more.
