SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND This was a recorded message saying two potentially unauthorised payments had been made on my card - one of £300 and an international payment of £1,000 - followed by the option of approving the payments or speaking to someone about them. This sounded like a scam ( there was no mention of which bank the call was from), and so it turned out to be when I checked with the bank.

I received call from this morning while I am at work, so I politely declined it. And I asked whether this is one of those commercial calls because I would like to be taken off the list forever, and the guy on the phone lied and said is to do with my life insurance, etc. (which is rather funny cause I am not currently paying any). Claim to be one of two Google accredited uk resellers. There is no such thing! They call me every day minimum twice a day except weekends. Whenever I refresh gumtree advert. They hang up as soon as they realise you won t part with money over the phone. Told them I m in the telephone preference service but it makes absolutely no difference, they will call none stop.
