The caller says they are from the Royal Mail and that I have a package being held in Central London. They want payment to release it. The cost is minimal but felt like a scam. Asked them to send me an email. On receipt, it definitely looks like a scam. I think if postage is underpaid, you get a note to say so through the mail. I'm marking it as dangerous as my gut tells me this is a phishing attack but I can't confirm.
My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.

Amazon Prime scam. They say that they are going to charge your bank account for a Prime subscription. Family member put the phone down before they got any further. Surely to goodness someone, somewhere, has got to put a stop to this. Who is paying for all these claims? Us, in our high insurance costs of course. It is pissing me off, big time. Stop phoning me - I was not hurt, but it is getting to the point where perhaps I should claim just to stop these calls. Two bleeding years I have been fending off these damned nuisance calls.
