SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. This organisation is constantly calling touting for car accident claims and promising being able to claim several thousands of pounds in injury awards. This is inspite of having explained on many occasions that I received no injury. Their sole aim is to encourage people to make fraudulent claims and they in turn pocket fat fees. Such actions only increase motor insurance costs across the country. They should be legally charged with attempted fraud and punished if found guilty.
