SCAM - pretends to be from Microsoft saying computer has downloaded malicious software. Gets recipient to go to PC. Identifies PC/Mac by asking to describe keyboard. For mac uses Spotlight to launch console - didn’t run with it any further. Caller does know the name accociated with the phone number. Caller has strong asian accent with a regular uk name.

SPAM had a Indian accent women, obviously in a call center with the background noise, plus the delay in the call actually connecting .she is claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse, offering me a better deal . £30 per month on everything unlimited . I blocked number as she was speaking so never heard the rest of her babble I doubt very much it is from car phone warehouse, and its a spam or scam call
Rang my mother . Knew all her details. Pretended to be British Gas and said if she paid 199.99 now she would save money. They even knew her BG home service plan was up for renewal soon. He was so polite and convincing, she gave her bank card details. Luckily Nationwide have done a visa dispute and refunded her. We have phoned trading standards, British gas . Written a cancellation letter to so called company. This needs to go to Watchdog.

Fraud threats claiming to be from national insurance department
Stated he was from a company called Caledonian. Wouldnt tell me anything about the company or why he was calling until I said I had time to spare to talk properly. I hung up. Obviously trying to either sell me something or claim back PPI or similar. Not very forthcoming. I would avoid this company.

This number called my husband and said someone had used his name fraudulently and an arrest warrant was being served and told to press 1 on phone but nothing happened
Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn t! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. I m not sure who I gave these details to, but no doubt at least my phone number has been sold to scammers and or telemarketers.

01892710579 -Claimed to be my local energy advisor and that I was responsible for the bills. They called my work number which I do not give out to businesses, also the classic pause before he introduced himself which is a sign they are using automated calling software, illegal in the UK.

Number claims to be from NHS stating I have been in contact with someone who has Omicron Variant and I must order a free PCR testing kit and left a link to claim it. How would they know I have been in contact with someone with that variant? Expect it is a scam and if I clicked on the link who knows what the result might be. Needless to say, not going to click on the link
