I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. Called me so I could make a payment as my email wasnt receiving from Very. Panicked as after the call it came up with "potential fraud" and that is what bought me to this site!
They left a message on my machine, saying they were calling for "Stephen Michaels & Associates", as far as I could understand and that I should return the call if this was Mr. "X". I wasn t, so I just deleted the message. Haven t heard from them since.
This number called me today - unsolicited - and asked me who I am. I asked who they are, and again they wanted to know who they were speaking to. They eventually said their name was either Raj or Rash. I said I don't know them, then hung up.
Called themselves Low Cost Home Improvements. They have previously phoned using other numbers and other trading names. Selling home improvements apparently. I instructed them, as I have on all previous occasions, to delete my illegally held contact details. They said they would, but based on past experience they won't.
