This number called my mobile. Before I could answer it rang off. On phoning it from landline it is unobtainable. Possible scam of some sort?

this number called yesterday during the day but I was unable to answer then it called me again at 3 o'clock in the morning!!!

Claimed to be from a utilities company, changed his mind about his company name twice, asked for CEO of my company by name but wasn't known to him. Assuming spam/cold caller.

The irritating Saving Preference Company have been calling me for the last month, on average, about 3/4 times a day!!! I tried ignoring their calls, then handing the phone to my son so he could wind them up and then finally gave up and answered their questions telling them a fake name and address and said NO to absolutely every question they asked including Do I have a TV, car and washing machine? . They called and said it was a confidential matter and wanted my details so I asked for the companies name but refused to give it as this would prejudice the situation so I advise that their is no provision within the DPA 1988 which states that they are not allowed to disclosed their details prior to me disclosing mine.
