Pretending to be from Rosendale's Bailiff, trying to get me to transfer money, or will send some one round, abusive and rude, totally a scam... Feels sorry for the people they will con. Insha Allah they will get there just deserves in this world if they are lucky, if not in the next world.
Claimed to be from British Gas, but wouldn't say the purpose of call before I gave my security details, which I never give to a caller if I'm unsure of their identity. My guess is genuine but still unsolicited call, and they shouldn't expect my security details.
Over the last two weeks there have been a number of High Wycombe calls, which are trying to con you about Amazon prime, silence, or a annoying hiss. This particular call is an annoying hiss. I have collected about 16 numbers in this time period of the same ilk.
Said they were amazon and £300 had been taken from my account for an iPhone. Probably a scam as no personal information requested.
Calls using various Manchester-area phone numbers usually starting 0161 531 ****. WARNING IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM PRETENDING TO BE A GOVERNMENT SCHEME! If you don't recognize the number DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! and then if the line goes dead, congratulations, you've just escaped being scammed!

Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. The caller was an Indian man who knew my name, but refused to tell me his name or which company he is calling on behalf of. He hung up after I told him I will take legal action against unsolicited and junk calls.

It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.
