Some indian guy claiming to be from a quality center clqiming that I had registered at some trading platform. I was absolutely sure I hadn't registered on the site by mistake as all my information was there. Funny enough he could not give me the date of my supposed registration! This is a scam number as they have called my house phone number today saying my bank cards have 2 transactions going out,that are not recognised, little do they know my house phone number has never been given to anyone apart from my sister in law who lives abroad as we don't use it we use our mobiles. An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

Got a call proclaiming to be O2 offering 30% discount on phone bill free of charge for loyalty. The contract mentioned is 2 weeks old and I haven't paid a bill yet! I ended the call as soon as I could, if it's genuine I would have expected a text from O2 or an email.
Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.
Another damn nuisance call. Some recorded woman's voice trying to convince me there are two fraudulent transactions on my bank account, press number one to get details etc. As it happened, I'd just been checking my bank account online, but I wouldn't have believed her anyway, as that's not the way my bank would contact me. This pathetic scam originated from a number in Knighton, a small town in Powys about ten miles from my house. Whoever you are, try and get a life!
