Missed a call from this number, checked and turns out I ve missed 3 calls in as many hours. I have an answer machine but they never left a message.

Trying to dial the number gets a message that one should "check the number and try again" because the number is invalid (which I hinted at being possible). This, to me, confirms it is a scammer, attempting to appear a valid UK caller but failing as they are unfamiliar with the rules for UK phone numbers.

All 0141 628 **** numbers are not physical numbers (ie landlines) they are SKYPE telephone numbers with a "geographical" location in Glasgow.

nAnswerphone kicked in and caller rang off. No message.

Phoned and left message to ring back. Gave a me a reference number and an extension number. Said they were from Lloyd's bank

Number from a guy with an India accent said he was Martin from BT open reach I hung up. Same number rang yesterday as well

Rang on a Saturday afternoon, didn’t get to it in time. Rang it back to get a message saying this number does not take calls. Blocked it.

Just called in the last 5 minutes. Problem with my computer. Asked him a security question (anything) He couldn t answer - so invited him to go away !

This number has been spamming me for 3 days now. Called back, message says your call is very important to us, after 4 min on hold voice ssys goodbye and ends call. VERY annoying...

This may be British Gas, but the number could be spoofed by scammers.

Had a call from this number saying about an accident, I said I was involved in a RTA, he asked me what was an RTA, I told him I was in my works car, then he butted in before I could finish, he asked what is an RTA. I said I was a traffic officer, what was a lie, they hung up and never called again...

Missed two calls from this number while I was in USA and not picking up unknown calls.
