Had a few missed calls from this number. I ve got a new number from sky that used to belong to someone who was clearly in a lot of debt! This is one of many numbers that calls.

Called saying he was from Debt recovery, when I questioned him he started to twitch, then said he was recording the call so I asked him who he & his mates are that call several times a day using different mobile no:s & how they got my number. he then called me a F*** & mother F*** and said he was going to call again tomorrow, I wished him good day and said I would block that number also. CLOWN

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. So let us all get together and do something and just go along with whatever they ask but give them a lot of lies. JUst give them a false name and keep them on the line for as long as you can. When called there is a recorded message "Please hold while we put you through to the next available agent" Keeps caller waiting, then disconnects.

I got a call from this number - missed call. I called back and it was dead silent "Hello? Hello?" no reply. I called again, same thing. Something is definitely fishy about this number.

British Gas. calling me for months. First from Manchester. Got apology. then it starts again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRITISH GAS. If this is how they market, what must their service be like????!!!!. I don t have an account, never had one DON T want one. Maybe I could be murdered for writing this. British gas stinks.

This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.
