SCAM. Another call from what seems to be a call centre in Manchester. Soon as you answer the call is cut off. Probably to see if line is still active. In the last month I have had 20 calls from the same area but different numbers. I've logged this as a scam because if itwas genuine the caller would have answered or left a message. I do not know this #.

Not sure what to label this - the call came on my work phone, no introduction, just an automated voice saying I would lose my national insurance number in court if I don't press '1' then it went silent, so I assume they wanted me to press the number and give them my bank deets

After doing an online insurance comparison on go compare, they call 2 or 3 time in quick succession until you answer. They are just following up your quotation, but if I do a comparison on line, it s because I don t want the hassle of talking to people like this on the phone. Ironically, they were the cheapest quote but it did put me off a little. I ve still got 2 days to decide and will probably go with them so they don t really need to be doing these "follow up" calls.

Missed a call from this number this morning, it seems that is another sale's call.
claimed to be from the security department (but didn't say of which bank/credit card company) claimed to have identified two probably fraudulent transactions. invited me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2, but the line went dead. Looks to me very much like a scam.

Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn t! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. I just had a call from this number too, claiming to be "D M Experts". The person he asked to speak to, Ben , does not exist on my number or at my address and I have been plagued with calls lately from some company claiming to be something to do with the Office of Fair Trading, who also always asks for Ben , but they have the sense to block their number.
