An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.

Indian scammers claiming to be from Virginmedia
They called twice in the past week, so I called back curious to see what company it was. All they said was it was consumer care line. The first woman hung up on me when I asked what the company was. The second was a guy who after me asking a few times went into the speech about PPI and other loans and stuff and then when I said I ve never had any of that he ended the call. He knew my first name though which was a bit confusing.

Told the runt that I work for Carphone Warehouse and we no longer offer EE, O2 or Three (haven't offered Three since around 2010!!). He was very aggressive asking me if I had claimed any money from the accident as it obviously was not my fault ( Never been in an accident ).Continued to ask if I had claimed for my accident getting even more aggressive. I said to him if you are aware of my accident you should have all the details there.He went ballistic and told me to f-ck off before hanging up !!
