Called late Sunday evening. Our VOIP phone not currently working, but a blank message was left on my message service & got sent to my email, together with record of dialling number. No idea who s behind the call.

Same as above, had a call claiming to refund bank charges, hung up straight away - person spoke broken english and sounded like a large call room in some 3rd world shit hole

I called the number back got through to a recorded voicemail advising it was not a sales call, it was a market researcher working on behalf of EE - I am an EE customer so seems legit.

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. I asked her what I could do for her and to cut to the chase as I was busy and got a mouthful of abuse being called and ugly [email protected] and other nice names. A man called my telephone to ask me to access my computer so he can fix the issue with the internet connection. I had not reported a fault, he was not calling from my provider and used a wrong mame for me. So, I hung up. The following day I discovered that the internet connection on my son s laptop had indeed been disabled! He must have visited a dodgy website but it is worrying that they could retrieve my telephone number from it.
