Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. This number has been messaging or even calling me even after blocking it
Called stating that my PPI claim had been approved and I was due a payout. I replied that I hadn t made a claim and my number should be removed from their list, at which point the caller hung up.
Scam recorded message saying that they are stopping use of my National insurance number as I have committed several frauds and criminal activity, press 1 to speak with an officer... and no doubt get fleeced lots of money for doing so. These arse holes do my head in, sod off and get a proper job like the rest of us!!
PPI company, number showed up as based in Macclesfield. Never needed to look into PPI so they had no reason to call me. Just a company who has no doubt bought a list of data to harass people.
Impossible to understand what the caller said, so I'm afraid I hung up.

Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax
