Scam call, allegedly from VISA - I haven't even got a VISA card! Claims my card (the one I haven't got) was used for a large spend on Amazon (it's always Amazon, isn't it?). Funny how this is from the same dialling code as mine (01454) so obviously area-targetting, and trying to make it look genuine, like as if it's from a local bank.

Domestic and General asking me if I wanted to have breakdown cover for my fridge freezer and cooker as well as my washing machine ( which I currently have). A bit insistent when I said no, and asked why so when I said ‘because I don’t want to’ she ended the call. It was quite a friendly manner but as above, quite pushy. took a call from a foreign sounding woman claiming to be from open reach telling me they had detected my internet speed was faulty. It was a local number but she handed me on to a foreign guy who, when I asked where he was based, said London. When I told him I thought he was a scammer he hung up!

Called my 86 yo mum claiming to be "the company that services your domestic appliances and boiler", I interrupted the call, asked if they were British Gas, on being told no the caller was invited to go forth and multiply.
