I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. I used to work for Stellar (temporary after redundancy). It was an awful job that paid minimum wage with no bonus. One thing I can say about them is they are genuine partners of BT which you can see at bt.com/partners. The agents that call you have all received training of a higher standard than BT agents as they wish to protect their contracts and we actually did genuinely want our customers to get a better deal. SCAM / SPAM It's yet another disingenous automated phone line designed to make it sounds like a "real conversation" because it repsonds to a voice response. They're a bunch of ne'er do well ambulance chasing morons that when you ask where they got your number from, as they were calling my business number, they panic and hang up the phone.
