I have been having problems with it but I’m aware of phony callers pretending to be providers - BT not any of the other providers would call you out of the blue so they hung up on me lol - thought you were supposed to be helping me with an issue? Female caller claiming to be checking if I was still receiving unwanted calls. Confirmed name and address as this can be generally obtained. However, started asking about credit card details. I replied that she was asking too many personal questions which TPS would not do and hung up.

Fraud Pretending to be HSBC. Knows name of recipient and informs them £600 is being transferred from your account overseas. Caller then tries to obtain your telephone banking security number by asking for the first "four" digits. This is followed by them saying it's not correct and wanting the last four digits. They then have your name, telephone number and security number and can empty your bank account

Called our business, man with Indian/Asian accent asked for the business owner by name. Possible telemarketing (possibly scam) as it took a minute to connect to the call once I answered, definite call centre in the background. He wouldn't tell me which company he was calling from.
