We don t have caller ID on our lilndane but it would be a nice added feature. I screen my calls on my mobile phone.I also wish I could talk to my family more often.

Noticed a missed call from this number on an old mobile I d only recently put a brand new SIM into. This phone has never been used to make calls anywhere so either Tesco Mobile have started re-issuing old numbers or the calling company are chancers.

I must have had ten calls this last week from a company calling themselves UK Preference. Today s number used was 01612228888. The voice was an Indian male and was very persistent talking over me when I told him to take me off their calling list and to stop calling me. On one day last week I had three calls from this same company within one hour. Most annoying. I had to put my phone down in the end because they would not listen to me. Last week when I was patient enough to listen to the first caller I t

claiming to be BT and say my internet account has been hacked and to fix it i need to be sitting in front of a computer! Told them they were scammers and put the phone down on them!

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
