Rang my landline today and an automated message said that our phone would be cut off in 24 hours. As we pay by direct debit every month, it cannot be true. It said we should push 1 for BT or 2 for any other supplier. We think it was that scam where they try to get bank details. it rang back twice within ten minutes. We didnt answer either call.

Scam caller. Automated recording stating that "I" was under investigation for tax fraud and that I had to push 1 to connect with an operator or would be issued with a warrant and face arrest / prosecution. No reference made to which agency or company was calling. Complete bull. These matters would not be managed through a cold call.

SCAM - Just received an automated call on my mobile from 07986 461186 informing me that my National Insurance number will be shortly become invalid. Needless to say it was ignored and the caller’s number barred!
answered, silence, then lots of noise and the call ended - how very rude. obviously a call centre wanting to scam me or give me a load of bullsh to frighten me into doing something silly like hand over all my money - scumbags!

Said they were Visa Fraud dept, and that £800 was scheduled to go to a gambling site in USA. No mention of which bank account or card number.
