Keeps calling every day (often multiple times a day) and leaving silent voicemail messages which I have to pay to access. Have now sent this number to my reject list but expect more from a reputable company like the AA.

This number IS Fowlers Car Finance calling from their Stoke on Trent office. I made an application with them last year, then cancelled due to receiving very adverse comments and warnings about dealing with them regarding any finance deals. I recieve calls weekly still having called them to stop and e-mailed. Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
